Striker – Arsenal, Gabon National Team
Pierre-Emercik Aubameyang, aka PEA, has put his name on the list of the greatest players through hard work, determination, audacity and listening.
It was in 2007 that he signed for AC Milan, writing a prestigious line at the end of his career: “I was in Bastia. My father told me: If you score six goals, I’ll take you to Italy. I have recorded eight of them. Pierre Emerick Aubameyang has spent a good part of his young career in AC Milan alongside major stars such as Kaka.
The Gabonese was loaned to Lille where he was nicknamed Usain Bolt from his first appearances, to Dijon where he made the powder talk, to Monaco where he struggled and then to Saint-Etienne where he exploded.
Supervised by many big clubs, Aubameyang finally took over the management of Borussia Dortmund in 2013 after having taken care to thank his coach Christophe Galtier who without his trust would perhaps never have signed in such a club as Dortmund.
Aubameyang did not miss his official debut with Borussia, where he scored a hat-trick on the first day.
In 2015 with Dortmund and with 46 goals scored in all competitions, he was named African Footballer of the Year on 7 January 2016, ahead of Ivorian Yaya Touré and Ghanaian André Ayew.
On 31 January 2018 the Dortmund striker joined Arsenal. He scored 10 goals in 14 games in his first half of the London season.
With 32 goals scored in 49 games, the numbers speak for themselves. In the Premier League, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang succeeded like no one else in the club’s history.
Its main quality is speed!
“Speed has always attracted me. We worked on this with my brother who was faster than me at the time. We had seen Kaka do it in Milan, build up the muscles at the bottom and run short sprints behind,” said PEA.
Today, Aubameyang is one of the fastest players in the world!
